The iGEM Ambassador to Africa, Mariam Ezzelarab gave a talk on “Unveiling the Promise of Synthetic Biology: Exploring iGEM as a Catalyst for Innovation and Collaboration among Grad Students”

Speaking at this event proved to be a rewarding experience for Mariam, since the majority, if not all, of the audience, were unfamiliar with synthetic biology and iGEM. She got a chance to engage in post-talk discussions with numerous participants who revealed a genuine interest in delving into this field. She was also approached by another event organizer who invited her to deliver a talk about iGEM and Synthetic Biology.
