The Digital Health Festival was full of distinguished speakers and participants across Australia and New Zealand from varying universities, hospitals and biotechnology leaders to discuss the future of digital health.
- Event Date: June 6th-7th, 2023
- iGEM Representative: Cindy Sia, iGEM Ambassadors to Asia & Oceania
A major takeaway during the event was that collaboration is one of the biggest strengths you could have when it comes to delivering health innovation. The roles of universities, students, industry leaders and government are so powerful when you see how they all come together when everyone is in the same room.

Cindy was able to network and build great relationships across the participants and speakers in the event and was invited to the Australian SynBio Challenge event by the organisers on September 29 with a free guest pass to discuss more on building something together with the organisers and iGEM.
She was able to spend time with the smartest minds across Australia and New Zealand in digital health, biotechnology and aged care and explore the pain points and endless ideas on what could be further done in the future.
