Conexão Biotec is a periodic in-person meeting where entrepreneurial people, industry professionals, researchers, scientists, students, and curious individuals are hosted to connect the biotechnology community in São Paulo, the STATE Innovation Center - an independent innovation center focused on science, cities, and creativity.

The Conexão Biotec 2 had attendees ranging from undergrad and overgrad to students, to CEO and representatives of biotech companies. The iGEM Ambassadors had the chance to talk with people from universities that had never participated in iGEM, like UNIFESP and USP-Leste, and members from the biotech industry.
