- Event Date: April 11th, 2024
- iGEM Representatives: Mariel Turkia, iGEM Ambassador to Europe
ChemBio Finland gathers the most recent information of the industries together with distinguished professionals, companies and their decision makers. The event provides effective face to face encounters and creates a forum for both the academic world and the business world to meet.
At the event top chemistry and biotechnology entities of the Nordic countries and Baltic regions presented their work and products. Along with companies, universities such as the Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT) talked about their fields of study and their new Master Food Processing Technology Master’s programme.
Moreover, during the exhibition there were intriguing industry and academic presentations regarding the latest synthetic biology advancements. For example, one presentation was about how synthetic biology can be used to promote circular economy by producing products from side-streams.
There was also a “Your Employer of the Future” programme for students and others to meet company representatives who were excited to share information regarding their job opportunities and give tips for career development in chemistry and biotechnology. For everyone who collected enough stamps for the Employers of the Future Day companies could enjoy a drink at the After work event.
